My question is Can CHMOD settings be changed with iPage? Hoping for any answer or 2. 2nd question I got is.. Ok, what I want to do is add a variable that will allow my livehelp to recognize my clients..

I now where I need to put it, but the thing is that I have no idea what the variable is that I need to add..

I'm really not sure where to start looking. I've looked around on other pages just to see what is being called & where, but I'm not quite if I'm looking at the right thing....

I'm sure that all you gurus will have a quick answer!!!..

Yep, however you might wanna make sure and wait for another person here to confirm this as I am unsure. Better yet, why don't you ask the iPage guys because they can answer your iPage question better...

I think he just wants to add a paramenter to the url that links to the livehelp website..

For example, he he has a link going to www.livehelp, and he wants to add a parameter to the url, like www.livehelp.com?ref=joel.

Joel, if you post the code without the variable in it, and you post what you want to add to it, I'll show you haow to do it...

There is a contribution at will add that function to the contact us page so it recognizes the customer and fills in the name and email part. Maybe you could hack that. Look for "add cusomter details" contribution, it is a simple code addition..

I find it funny that different people call it different things....

Anyways, what I'm looking to do is add some code at the end of this line.....

<script language="javascript" src="https://5alarmgifts.sslpowered.com/store/nfoscomm/catalog/livehelp/livehelp_js.php?relative=Y&department=1"></script>.

What I want that code to do is recognize that if you log into your account & then choose livehelp, then instead of me seeing your ip address or asking for your name, it would automatically recognize it & start the chat right away..

Make any sense? I'm at work, so I'm not thinking straight!..

I need this also. This is how it will look.

But what should USERNAME be..

I tried $customer_first_name but that didn't work..

Also it would be nice to make the variable = guest if they are not logged on...
