A couple of people asked how I'm doing, my answer is GREAT! Because my job requires heavy lifting and no sitting (for 12 hours), I took 6 weeks off. I've felt phenomenal since week 2ish, so it's been a wonderful.
! haha. I go back to work tomorrow... a little nervous about that. I.

My journey has been a VERY smooth one. I had been tossing around the idea of gastric bypass for several years before I made a final decision. My surgeon/ program requires 16 weeks in a pre-op weight management class prior to.
I had already been in the program that he requires for a year prior to making my decision. Made up my mind October 5, 2010....
Dec 28, 2010. (In just that short amount of time I was approved by insurance, cleared by medical, cleared by psych, etc)..
Like I said.. a smooth process..
Thankfully I haven't had too many questions (I'm a nurse- which helps) and I'm also very blessed to have a mother who is a certified bariatric nurse. One of just several in the entire state of Florida. Also, my Dad is a 10 year post op RNY. Between my family and close friends, I have awesome support, but it just isn't the same as a bunch of people who have gone through the same thing as me..
This was a bit long (sorry), but again, I say thank you so much for welcoming me to this group. I.
