Ye, although you might want to make sure and wait for someone else to confirm my answer as I am not completely sure. Better yet, why don't you contact the iPage guys because they can give you help better...
Cheers Julian - that does look a lot better than the images I manage to produce. What is GD Library?.
BTW, great iPage site - I'm very interested in getting a Pool table - is it actually your company, or did you just do the website?..
I own the company aswell as develop the site. Discounts available if you fancy anything! Let me know..
You can see if you have GD library on your server info page in Admin. It's server side to process images. If they don't have it, you won't be able to use that contribution..
Hmm... never noticed that before! I've looked at Server Info and one of the boxes is "GD" and in that it says "GD Support - Enabled" "GD Version - 2.0.23" ... everything else is enabled....
So is GD Library an OS Contribution then? I'll go have a look-see, but it you have any helpful info, it would be most appreciated....
I'll mail you through the iPage site about the pool table :-D..
What you see in the server info is exactly that, server side info. Nothing to do with osCommerce. If you see GD there, then the thumnails with GD library contribution will work..
Thanks for your help mate, I'll check it out!..
I've made quite a few OS sites now and the main thing that bothers me are the product images..
I like to make fairly large images (200 x 200 ish), but the thumbnail that is displayed is always blurred and ruins the site. In the end, I size my images to match the iPage site and remove the option to enlarge..
I do like the idea of a thumbnail and an enlarged though - anyone know of a way to make this work properly? I've look through the contributions, but none really sound right....
Any help lads and lasses?!.
I used the thumbnails using GD library, and it works well. Especially the speed and quality of the enlarged images without messing up the thumbs. You can take a look at.
To see if it's what you are looking for..
