First of all Do I need a jtag to get the mod Medifast menu on mw2? Looking forward for any answer. 2nd question I got is.. I was suppose to have GBS on tuesday but when my doctor went in he said I had to much scar tissue from a galblder.

Surgery.

I had in 1994. the scar tissue was blocking my liver and it would have caused complications, so he removed as much scar tissue as he could. Needless to say I could not have the GB.

Surgery.

But have a lot of pain from the operation. The good news is I can have the gastric sleeve which has to be approved by my insurance company. Have any one heard anything about the Sleeve.

Surgery.

? The doctor said it is almost like the GBS.

MY doctor is hoping I can get the.

Surgery.

In 3 weeks if every thing goes well...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you an answer..

I initially wanted the sleeve.

Surgery.

, because like JJ said, they basically just cut your stomach in half and you still digest like normal and everything. However, I have Aetna HMO, and they would not cover the sleeve.

Surgery.

Because there aren't enough stats for them on that.

Surgery.

To cover it.. I guess it has to be 'proven' or something. So I opted for gastric bypass...

I also have a lot of scar tissue and was warned before hand that they might have to do the sleeve. I ended up with the GBS. From the.

Research.

I got the sleeve is very good they just don't have enough data on it yet. Good luck...

Hi Beauty.

Man I am sorry about that. What a letdown but I believe it was a sign for something better for you. I do not know much about the sleeve. It is true everything happens for a reason but it does stink now when you dont know why, doesn't it? Keep your head up and keep letting us now whats going on..

Sounds like you are getting great care. I dont agree the sleeve is almost like GBS. Make sure you find resources which directly address that.

Surgery.

And do not depend on a GBS group for info. Although you are entering relatively uncharted territory as far as WLS is concerned, there are more and more people having the procedure. Check out.

- I think they are the best online resource for all thing WLS...

Sorry about not having.

Surgery.

Now - but at least you can get it in a few weeks. I'm looking at the gastric sleeve also - my understanding is that it is the same at the by-pass except they do nothing to your intestines - but they do cut out/remove/take away about 75 - 80% of your stomach - I've heard it good and without the threat of malabsorption - I've heard good things about it. I was.

To a surgeon from Europe - he said they do alot of them in Europe...

I'm so sorry that you had to go through all that, but I think the sleeve is the very best option out there, my insurance considers it experimental, but kaiser routinely offers it so that is changing now, probably very soon all insurance companies will be approving it, I am waiting for word on my appeal, I think because of your situation they will approve it for you, best of luck..

I am so sorry that you did not get your.

Surgery.

Hi Beauty,.

My first choice for.

Surgery.

Is the sleeve. I am having this procedure on March 18th. It's true that there is still not a lot of data out there about this.

Surgery.

, but the results have been very good. I have heard that the weight loss will be a bit slower, but that after 2 years, it catches up with the other procedures results. I want to.

Lose weight.

A bit shower because I am afraid my skin would not keep up with rapid weight loss. I was also worried about malabsorption and losing hair. I also am not a fan of throwing up for any reason. This situation could have been a blessing in discuise for you. I can only imagine how bummed out you were finding out that you had not had your.

Surgery.

When you woke up. Know that you have an amazign group of people here to help you through this. Sending you good throughts sweetie. Send me a message if you want to talk about this more...
