Good question... I dunno what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could help you..
I also thought I had made a horrible mistake, but now it is 8 weeks later and I can tell you that it gets better>>I promise! Only you can tell the nurses and doctor what you are feeling so please be very vocal about what is happening that is scaring you so much and I promise that they will be able to help you through this process. Take care and take it easy. Carolyn..
Hang in there. I was pretty miserable right out of.
Too. My back was killin me and I would get random pains in my chest from the gas. It will subside fairly quickly just keep your resolve. Once you go home you will begin to feel better and better. You can do it. We're here to help =)..
Don't worry. You will feel better soon! Hang in there. Take your pain meds. If you ask me, you shouldn't be in any pain. Ask your doctor for more pain meds, or a different one if you are feeling pain. Good luck! Holding your hand mentally...
Is over and your on the way to mending..
It is major.
And you will hurt, but it does get easier each day, and by next week you'll be feeling much, much better..
The end result is so much worth the pain in the beginning. Take your pain meds, sip your liquids and rest. Walk, even if it's only to the bathroom at first, this will get easier. It gets that gas moving on out, and that will help you feel better also...
We all had the pains and discomfort. I promise you it does get better .hang in there. were all here for you...
Thank you guys so much. Your support means a lot. I think I am being a big baby! Lol...
I echo what the others have said; don't tough out the pain. Pain meds are your friends right now! Take it easy and don't overdo it. You will soon feel better and be living your new life..
You are not being a big baby..
Hurts - we all know that. Take your pain meds as you need them. If they aren't working ask for something else. As much as.
Hurts at first you will heal so much better the more you move. It will get better I promise. If you had open RNY takes a little longer than if you had Lap but within a week you should be feeling alot better. Just take it easy and come here for support. We'll help all we can. I promise you it wasn't a mistake :).
Trust me. You made the RIGHT decision. I know. I am Mrs. always Wright according to some. lmao Actually, Krystie, now is the time you will go through the, "What the hell have I done" stage.
Just keep tuned in and tell us everything. We are here to help and support you...
I get to go home tomorrow morning. This was harder and more painful then I thought this would be. Seriously wondering if I made the right decision...
WELCOME TO THE LOSERS BENCH MY FRIEND!!! I promise the pain will subside pretty quickly. Try to move around as much as possible it will help. And as others have said, don't be afraid to ask for pain meds. But I assure you you won't need them for very long. I am 6 months post-op and only had to take the meds for 3 days. So hang in there sweetie it does get better and when you see the results you will forget about that nasty pain..
Hugs as always,.
Being 1 day ahead of you, all I can say is walk. I was the only one out of 4 patients that walked the halls at the hospital. I am feeling really pretty good...
Krystie hang in there girl. You did the right thing. I was saying and thinking the same thing last week (1 week post-op) but it is getting alot easier and the pain is so much better. thoughts and prayers are with you...
