Got a question... How do get to Medifast menu on iPad so I can take off cookies? Thanks in advance for any response. Another question... I saw the nutritionist yesterday and she asked about my fluid intake. I get about 80-100oz of fluid a day. She told me to cut back that it might stretch my pouch out.

Is this true? Please help!! I stay so thirsty all the time and can't imagine cutting back but I will if it will stretch my pouch..

All I know is I was told to drink at least 64 fluid oz's of fluid a day...and I find that hard to do but I try... as far as it.

Stretching.

Your pouch I really don't know but I would think that the nut would know what she/he would be.

Talking.

About (one would.

I was told 64 oz too, and find it very difficult to get that in. Some days I'm lucky if I get 32 oz in...

IIn my experience, most nutritionists don't know squat about the needs of WLS.

Surgery.

Patients. However, I would never tell someone to disregard the advice of a medical professional. I would do some independent.

Research.

On this topic. Sites like.

Have lots of great answers. Ultimately the decision whether or not to disregard the nutritionist's comments is yours..

I am 16 days out and I am happy to say I can do 64oz +. I drank over 100 before rny so I am use to it. It was a slow start but all of a sudden this week it has been a lot easier. My program says 64+ and has never said anything about to much...

I know my surgeon told me one of the reasons to not drink with meals is that it could stretch my pouch....kind of makes sense???..

My team said 48 oz a day, plus protein shake and any soup etc, counted over and above. Yesterday was the first day I got close to 48oz, I can drink all day at work, but I forget when I get home..

I'm 2 months out..

Hugs, Patricia..

This is so interesting because I have my 3 month check up tomorrow and I actually have this exact question to ask. I drink at least 100 oz. a day and I drink usually 16 oz. per hour. I will post tomorrow when I get my answer...

I think your NUT is just that a nut! All I hear is a AT LEAST 64 ounces of fluids a day. Fluids dont stretch the pouch.. yes they go right through. I do.

Hope.

That you arent drinking with meals though...

That's impressive.. I'm with Fletcher, it's not always easy to drink that much...

I'm with the majority here... Its a tough battle for me to get in all my liquids. I worry so much about not drinking before I eat, while I eat and then after I eat!.

I'll be interested in the postings from those who have meetings with their surgeons...
