Got a question, hope someone can answer... How do I create a new web page on iPage.com? Many thanks for any answer. Another quick question... Just put it back the way it was..

Or, take the variable off, so you can see for sure if this is the problem..

$info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'center', 'text' => '<script language="javascript" src="https://5alarmgifts.sslpowered.com/store/nfoscomm/catalog/livehelp/livehelp_js.php?relative=Y&department=1"></script>';..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

Restore it with the original..

If you no longer have it, download the latest OSC, and use the file from that. They should still be the same...

Are you talking about the livehelp.php file? That was just an add in. I'll check to see if I still have it..

If not, what other options would there be? Do I have to remove a "call" from another file?..

Ok, wait..

Live help? Is this a new box that is supposed to appear in your right hand column? Did you make a change to the /catalog/includes/column_right.php ?

Nope..

That's the part that I don't get! The only file that I modified was that livehelp.php file and everything disappeared after that..

I can sift through the column_right.php file, but I'm not sure what I'd be looking for..

I'm at work right now, so I can't post any code since I don't have access to my FTP & php editor. I'll post it as soon as I'm home!..

Well, I'll have to look at the contribution, but where is the live help thing supposed to go on your site? Is it on the main page? Are customers suppposed to see it? Does it go in a column, in an infobox?..

Yes, I had it at the bottom right hand side. Clients where able to see it & click to chat type of thing..

The only thing that I was supposed to change was adding the variable to allow it to recognize my clients. I thought it was such a simple change that I didn't back-up. So, go figure... Oh well, live & learn!!!.

I got this via my admin panel -.

Can you point me the the contribution you've tried to install? I'll have a quick look...

This is the.

Original.

That I had used, but I've simply just been doing upgrades straight from.

Here.

..

I truly appreciate all of your assistance!..

Ok, in your /catalog/includes/column_left.

Towards the bottom of the page, you should see a line that says somethign like.....

Require(DIR_WS_BOXES'live_help.php');.

Comment that out so it looks like.....

//require(DIR_WS_BOXES'live_help.php');..

It was the column_right.php and it's done..

The bottom of my iPage site is now there again! Ok, so that problem is solved... Now how do I figure out what happened?..

Something that you changed in the live_help.php file caused an error. I'd suggest reverting to the copy you had before the latest round of changes..

Or you can post every change you made to that file, and we can try to hash it out here...

Look in your live_help.php, thats where the problem lies. Something is conflicting when it's called and your php script stops (i think). Uncomment it back out and let it call it. Pull your page up and and view the source and see where your script stops. That should give you an idea on where to start in your live_help.php..

I hope this makes sense,.

Dennis..

I've never actually changed anything since yesterday or whenever it was that I first posted this error..

The only thing that I've done with that file was try to put in the variable, but now it seems as if it won't even allow me to use the old version..

What would happen if I created a new page & just renamed the old one? Could something like that work?..

No, I already did that. It stops right before it's supposed to display the live help infobox...

Ok, finally got it working!.

The only thing that I can't figure out is the variable, but I'm not worried about it!.

Thanks a lot for the help! It is truly appreciated!..

It was my pleasure. It's refreshing to work with someone new that actually listens to instruction..

I predict you'd be an expert in no time...

Well, my next task is to actually try to build something into my admin panel..

As you know, I'm running livehelp, but it runs on a seperate browser. I want to find a way to integrate it into my admin panel..

I have no idea where to start!..

I've never used the livehelp contribution..

But a good place to start would be to look in the column_left of the admin, and add a link to whatever opens your live help admin thing...
