First off, How do you access the project Medifast menu window on iDVD? Hoping for any answer or 2. My other question... I feel like a bad sciene experiment...

I'm one week out today! Time flies when you are on pain killers!.

So far things have been fine, obviously things could be worse. I am not in pain but I am uncomfortable. Figuring this out is seriously hard!.

Today I forgot to measure 1/2 cup of soup and must have eaten more because shortly after I felt soooo sick, like way too full, nausea came to visit and I sat in the shower trying not to vomit. I dont understand how I can eat slightly too much soup and feel gross but I can drink a glass of milk as a meal and have that be more than 1/2 cup and be fine?.

My mind tells me I am hungry but my body doesnt (other than my stomach growling) so when I have to eat nothing about me actually wants to eat. I have serious trouble getting my 3 protein shakes in a day- nothing tastes good, I'm drinking my water but a little nervous I'm actually not eating enough. I have a week more on liquids before I can add the soft foods..

The gas cramps are horrible! I'm doing the.

But it's like I cant predict them and cannot imagine what I will do if I go back to work and this happens- they are horrible!.

In all honesty I think my recovery has been pretty low key- no major pain or trauma, I'm following orders and trying to figure out this new body, which is a bit upset with me at the moment. I feel like everything is an experiment to see what works and how I feel, and after feeling so gross after the soup I really dont want to experiment anymore! There are so many rules to remember!.

-Mara (already dreading going back to work in 2 weeks).

Ps. 24 lbs down since 2 weeks preop!..

Hi Mara, I'm only ahead of you by a week. Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. I agree that it is somewhat of an experiement finding out what wks for you. I found that.

Down a sample day of the stage that I'm at, including times for viats. helped me with a daily journal of Medifast food log of my own. Remember to measure the ounces, or 1/2 cup servings and take your time, this helps too. You can double or triple up the.

Stips if you need to. I also put a bag of daily stuff in my car. A small pencil bag full of viatims that I keep near my dash, a pretty bag of protien drinks,.

Strips, water, S/F Carnation packs, Protien Shots and Protien bars just in case I forget to head home for nutrition! Anyway you will find that you will aclamate yourself to commitment, and it will get better! It gets easier once your off the pain meds too! Clearer and more under control! The big Experiment is to learn to take care of you!!!!..

YOU WILL SURVIVE. I am 5 weeks out and the gas cramps are horrible. I find if I put Beano on my Medifast food that it helps. I have bought stock in.

And Beano. Good luck!!..

It can be a bit of a balance act. I tried muscle milk last night because the regular milk is starting up the lactose intolerance. Well that didn't go well - it made me so nausaus and I felt horrible. Going to try using the protein shots in water to help get my protein and h2o amounts in. So far today it is better! I get to try purees staring today so I am looking forward to that. When you try something new start slow and wait in between bites to see if it is settleing in your stomach. I am there with you kiddo! Dianne..

Boy does that sound familiar. I'm 3 months out and I still find it easy to over-do. I have to stop eating BEFORE I begin to feel full, otherwise, pain city..

For me, the hardest part to comply with has been the "no drinking immediately prior to, during or after meals" I didn't think this would be a problem at all but it's almost unconcious. I find myself.

Drinking water.

Without even thinking...

I can relate... I had my GBS Dec 1st and am now aloud to eat what ever I can tolerate the problem is there isn't much I can eat without losing it... I have thrown-up everyday at least once for about 3 weeks now... I can only eat 2 tablespoons of Medifast food at a time. I'm sure it will get better over time though. Just remember to chew chew chew ....

Linda :)..
