Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..
OK, I've downloaded the module you suggested plus one other..
How exactly do I install these? They come as zipped files, presumably after unzipping I need to place them in the correct directory - would that be catalog/includes/modules/shipping ? .
Installing modules is usually quite easy. I have only been doing this for a month or two so I'm probably not that qualified! But what I have learned is that 1st try to follow the 'read me' txt, if there is one, there should be. The new files that you are replacing go into the folders on your iPage website in the same way they are given to you in the zip. So "catalog\includes\languages\english\modules\shipping" means that the new file ends up in the shipping folder..
Some times a module will require you to update mysql which you should be able to access through your server control panel. This is a bit daunting the first time you add instructions, but easy when you know how. So backup before trying anything...
Oh right, I forgot how these things unzip into their correct paths..
My client wants to charge more for overseas delivery, but when I look at payement zones, there seems to be only "Zone 1" available. Zone 1 defaults to being US,CA, will this work for me as a starting point? We are operating from UK..
If not, what do I need to do, it's not obvious in admin?.
If you go to.
You will find modules for UK posting. I used the REC del & standard delivery one. This also gives you facility to adapt the overseas postage, I specify a different postage for Europe and USA. I also got rid of all the countrys I didnt want to post to, by deleting them via mysql (quicker) or through your admin section. Remember to backup before making any changes. Hope this helps..
