Got a quick question: I just bought my domain name on iPage.....now what? Looking forward for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Salutations!.

I have been asked to look into enhancing a prototype for a travel agency running on OsCOmmerce..

Currently, it has different products created to "sell" one tour package..

E.g..

5D/4N Nepal Comprehensive Tour - AdultSingle.

5D/4N Nepal Comprehensive Tour - AdultTwin.

5D/4N Nepal Comprehensive Tour - Child.

In order for a customer to book a package for 3 adults and 1 child, he/she has to add 3/4 items to the cart. I would like to do it in one booking step..

I tried using Product Attributes as mentioned in the OsCommerce Knowledge Base regarding different shirts' sizes and color..

When I try to check out items, quantity is only prompted for the entire package. I would like to have a quantity prompt for each product attribute listed above..

I hope this is clear enough..

Thanks in advance for any replies..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

Salutations!.

Thanks for the tip..

I tried out the demo link. Even when I select certain check boxes, there is only one quantity text box when we want to check out..

I need to be able to enter quantity for EACH product attribute selected..

Salutations!.

Thanks for the tip about similar product. Is there a live or demo iPage site I can look at? I do not have a development server and will be affecting changes on the iPage site itself..

Don't want to do anything that I will regret later..

I think you have to look into master products or QTpro (both have very active support threads) to present the main product and the attributes as slave products with quantity field to order...

Salutations!.

Thanks for the tip..

After browsing through pages of forum contributions/postings, I read about the two items you have mentioned..

Will definitely give both a try since I read that each item might have it's own peculiarities to look out for..
