Blimey this is your year.... and were only 3 weeks in..
Of course you deserve this..
For all your efforts and achievments this is icing on the cake with a cherry on top...
Funny you should say it is my year. (I won a 1000 bucks at the casino the other day) I was driving my dad and uncle out and they tossed me $40 bucks to hang out and wait for them...and kaboom...then the gm centre thing, with all the tickets..(the kids are loving that by the way).
Then a couple days ago my mom emails me and tells me that it is the year of the tiger and I should buy one of those house lottery tickets because it is my lucky year and my horoscope says I am going to win a house this year...LOL.
Crazy but wouldn't it be neat......
Hey karauto, can I rub you for some good luck?..
I want to rub you tooooo............So happy for you with all this luck, and if you get your plastic.

For those of you hoping to have insurance cover the cost - NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER refer to it as plastic.
A panniculectomy is considered.
However, you need to make sure there is consistent reference to skin problems, infections and the like in your medical charts. If the other phrase shows up anywhere but on the door of your surgeon's office, your insurance is gonna give you grief. If you have any work done to the underlying musculature, THAT is plastic/cosmetic.
Unless there was some sort of injury causing disfigurement...
You are totally right bighotmamma. I've had to cover all my bases over the last year or so as I was anticipating skin removal as a possibility for me from the beginning. I have had skin rashes/sores/acne for years and have had to seek treatment from my regular doctor many times. Its been documented by him for at least the past 2 years. I have scarring from skin irritation even. My panniculous is considered in the stage 2 category as it hangs low enough to cover the pubis.
After massive weight loss. I am lucky enough to have access to a plastic surgeon who specializes in massive weight loss patients. He works in the same building as my GBS surgeon and they share many patients. I first met him at a seminar given at my GBS support group at the hospital. They've always used the wording "pannilectomy" never abdomnioplasty or tummy tuck. He's not billing for muscle work or body contouring or back work.
I'm having insurance delays I'm fighting as our cobra goes into effect. So hopefully I hear something back in the next few weeks...
Oh and thank you guys for the compliments over my new pic, I still don't look at it and see that's really me, weird.....
Jerry, I must say that link nearly offends me. To compare what I am going through to what those women have done makes me ill...
My apologies Callie, I get a little over-amped at times. I'll try to put a cork in it...
