My 1st question is: I need food Medifast menu themes, please help me out? Thanks in advance for any answer. Second question.. I haven't seen too many posts from anyone who's experience hair loss after GBS and thought I'd give a suggestion of taking Biotin (vitamin)starting before.

Surgery.

And continue as long as needed. I really didn't experience my hair loss til about 3-4 mos out but I started the biotin (and your protein of course)and it really helped with my hair and nails. I've always had extremely thick hair and when it was getting so thin on top I was freaking out til someone told me about it. In the beginning I took a big dose but now on a low dose cause hair was growing too fast..

Hope.

This helps someone :).

You can get it anywhere you buy vitamins. Its one of the B vitamins. You will still lose some but it does help it from being too bad and helps you get regrowth. In the beginning I took about 5000MCG but you can go lower to 2500mcg. the pills aren't too big but after.

Surgery.

You may have to wait to take them unless you find them in capsules or gel form. goodluck. THat was one of the worst things for me cause my hair has always been one of my best assets...

I'm gonna get some ASAP and start taking it. I'm only afraid of 2 GBS side effects, hair loss, and looking too skinny/old. I'm 30. I don't want to look 50. I've decided to.

Stay away.

From tanning booths this year too. I'm gonna have enough wrinkly skin! LOL......

Thanks for the advice,.

Thanks for the tip, I heard about biotin before but I've already got so many pills to take I dunno where I can add anymore, but I am gonna find a way! Another thing that's really good for your hair/skin/nails is.

MSM.

, both taking it as a supplement and using the soap/lotion. I used to take hyaluronic acid for my skin/joints and that worked like a charm but it's very hard to find good quality HA. The.

MSM.

You can buy in powder form so I think I could incorporate that into my protein shakes. I don't wanna lose my hair either!!..

MSM.

A good place to get biotin is at the Puritan.

Pride.com.

Site. they have buy 2 & get 3 free. You pay 21.98 for 2 and they are 5000 mcg each and there are 120 capsules in each bottle. It does work....I had baby fine thin hair b4.

Surgery.

And I now have more hair than I have ever had...

Can we swallow the capsules? Or do we need to get tablets and crush? I didn't see any kind of chewable form at GNC..

Probly have to crush them or cut them in half. They aren't real big but in the beginning might be tough to swallow...

My hair started to fall out when I was approximately 3 months post op. I started taking biotin capsules along with my multi- vitamin and.

Calcium.

Citrate. When I saw my surgeon last, he recommended that I also take zinc. My hair is starting to grow back. It is also important to get enough protein every day...

I am 4 months postop and starting taking biotin right after.

Surgery.

I have not experienced any abnormal hair loss (I also make sure I get my protein in every day). I buy my 2500mcg biotin at RiteAid or Walmart. I buy the gel caps they are about 1/2 the size of a.

Tylenol.

Capsule and have not had any problems with swallowing them. I was told not to take anything larger than a.

Tylenol.

Capsule for the first couple of months...

My hair is falling out ALOT!! I have been using nioxin shampoo and conditioner and taking biotin. I am going to up the dose from 3000 to 5000 to see if that helps..

When does it STOP falling out? I can see some growing back in, but certainly am still having lots fall out...

If you don't have any other surgeries and you are keeping up your protein usually around 6 mos or so sometimes longer. I think it just depends on if you are getting all your required nutrients in so it's going to be different for everyone. Just make sure you are taking your vitamins,.

Calcium.

And protein in and it will stop. Goodluck..

I also started taking biotin...but Im wondering about effect on body and facial hair?????..

Hi - I take 5000 mcg a day. I get them at a local place but they have them online at.

And they'll ship them the same day. They are chewable and taste good. It's like $13 or $14 for 60 tablets. I've been taking mine since I got home for.

Surgery.

I can't tell if it's helped yet- It's onnly been 6 weeks but it can't hurt - at least that's what they've told me!! Good luck!..
