Got a question, hope someone can answer... Is Candice Michelle still with iPage.com and the WWE? Hoping for any response. Another question I got... Ok took a week vaction from work on my website, when I came back to it none of my images will show up. Also, my boxes' background, header and border don't have their CSS color, they assume the page background color..

I've reinstalled my apache, php, mysql, and IE6. Downloaded a fresh 2.2MS2 and the same thing happened the boxes were all white like the default background and none of the porduct images will show up, but the catagory images will..

The same thing happens in Netscape browser; also, so I don't think it's IE6. I have not added and new contributions since it worked last. I am really at a loss. If it was either the images or the boxes I would be a little less puzzled. Anyone have this experience?.

Thanks for any information..

Tim..

Yes sir! although you might want to make sure and wait for another person to confirm my answer as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you ask the iPage guys because they can answer your iPage question better...

This is occuring on my local system Windows XP with Apachetriad2 for server, php, and mysql. My remote iPage site is fine, but when I uploaded my local copy to the remote server, to see what it looked like, it was the same as mentioned above..

Could this be a virus of some sort?.

It's just really wierd that it was fine when I left it a week ago and then to come back to missing images and boxes that aren't being drawn or blending in with the background. I'll post any information you need. I just don't know where to start really..

Thanks for any help,.

When working on local/remote iPage site you got to keep seperate configure.php files and be carfull not to zap your iPage site with the wrong config file..

I do it like so.

Configure.php.

Configure_l.php.

Configure_r.php.

Then you can delete configure.php and rename configure_r.php...

That's a good hint, but I don't think that's the problem in this case..

Some of my category images still show up, so I don't think that it's a broken /images path in configuration..

The funny thing is when I get my backups from like a month ago they do the exact same thing and they were fine when I backed them up. It also happens on a vanilla version of osCommerce 2.2MS2, so it seems that it is more of a gobal problem. If anyone thinks of anything no matter how crazy it may be, let me know..

Thanks for you help.

I've reinstalled apache, php4, and mysql and unpacked the OSC 2.2 MS2 into the htdocs folder. Went through the install sequence and clicked on catalog..

The words display, but the boxes are not outlined in any way and the box background color is white (instead of the OSC grey). The only thing visible are the header pics, corner_left.gif, corner_right.gif, and corner_left_right.gif, most of the language buttons, some category images, and about half of the product images. It seems like it's not reading the stylesheet..

Weird? Anyone have a clue what's going on? Why are only half the images being displayed when they are located in the same directory?..

I have the same problem on my osommerce of images and boxes gone. Did you ever find a solution to this problem..

Thank you for your help..

What finally worked for me was reinstalling Windows XP. I think it was a virus corrupting network traffic, so I would prob run a virus check also. Let me know if it works for ya..

I had the same problem. For a year every thing was ok then all of a sudden the Images and Boxes vanished. You may find that admin panel is fine..

In other words stylesheet.css and the images wouldn't load..

Question: Has your iPage hosting company recently updated PHP to Version 4.3.6?.

Ok, this is my account of the problem and how to fix it:.

OsCommerce has a configuration file called configure.php. This file holds information regarding paths including HTTPS paths..

There are in fact two config files, one for the catalog and on for the admin area. It is found in its' respective includes folder..

I wasn't using SSL (HTTPS) and the default path.

Was fine because the following declaration read:.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', false);.

In other words SSL not used..

Now though, perhaps since the version of PHP was updated, it seems it is necessary to put.

As the HTTPS server address path instead of the default path.

..

You will also need to fill in all the other blanks relating to https with http..

Perhaps the newer version of PHP, if that's what it is, is more secure or something like that..

I guess that the Fantastico install engine will need to change the way it writes the path information into the configuration file to allow for this. Although I only used it as a test I know this also gets it wrong..

Basically go through and delete the s off https and duplicate https entries with http entries..

Regards,.
