My first question is Is there any Medifast menu based role playing games available for Xbox 360? Thanks in advance for any answer. 2nd question I got is.. I tried to.

Exercise.

For the first time in years, today. (I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy.) I only made it 2 minutes into the warm up and I was in so much pain that I had to stop. How mortifying!!! It wasn't even what one would consider a tough workout. It was a Start.

Walking.

With Leslie Sansone DVD..

I'm trying not to be discouraged, but Wow! The pain in my lower back and legs was terrible! Maybe it will get better if I keep trying. I don't know..

Maybe 3 minutes tomorrow?.

Ye, however you might wanna make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm my answer as I am not sure. Better yet, why don't you contact the Medifast guys because they can assist you better...

Way to go scrappyknees if it takes 1 minute at a time at least you are exercising, so sorry for your pain. Best wishes!..

Before.

Surgery.

I couldnt do the elipitical for 5 mins, and I have no physical ailments at all (except being over weight) 1 min at a time, 1 step at a time, keep smiling and know that everyone is different and we do what we can with what we have! be proud that you even tried and dont give up!..

Even if you do one minute three times a day for a week or two, then try two minutes two or three times a day for a week and so on. Dont rush yourself , give your body time to wake up..

When I started I could barely walk let alone do the elliptical for one minute, now I can run in shout bursts along with.

Up to 5 miles..

Go slow and always stop if it is extreme pain...

What's the saying... a journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step.. something like that..

Or... from Rudolph "put one foot in front of the other... and soon you'll be.

It's a start, and instead of focusing on it as an end point, think of it as the beginning. Like you were saying... 2 minutes today may become 2:15 tomorrow... next week... 3.. maybe 4 minutes.



Remember, this is not a race, there's no pace car out there that you have to keep up with. Listen to your body and it will guide you thought this...

Scrappy.......I feel for ya. I live with pain like that all the time. I wish I could walk longer than I can. For some of us it's much harder..

If you can continue to increase that time without pain, then go ahead. Don't continue to push to much if it is to painful, it can cause more damage..

Perhaps you should be evaluated by a PT Specialist. Mine told me that I could do nothing without hurting myself further. I do use handweights..

Just want to give my support. There was a time in my life where I was in constant pain and couldn't move (that's how I gained so much weight and became diabetic). By taking baby steps and increasing it little by little, I am now able to live pain free. Don't be discouraged. You're doing great!.

Good for you. Sorry it's been so painful. You have to start somewhere. Feel good about your efforts!! That's 2 more minutes than I've done :D..

I really think a PT eval would be beneficial for you. They are good at getting you better without hurting you....it's their job!.

I agree with Krissy - I think you may get some benefit from physio - there are some amazing treaters out there..

I am so proud of you though for attempting to.

I am disabled due to chronic pain and COPD. I have to wear.

Oxygen.

At home. I cant.

Exercise.

Due to the shortness of breath. My doctor told me last week when we wear discussing.

Exercise.

And I told him that was very limited. He said move my arms or lift my legs do anything that will cause a movement. It does not matter what you do just DO SOMETHING. Good luck!!!.

Thanks, everyone for your support. When I was in my 20's I use to work out like a fiend. In my 30's the MD started to progress, and today (I'm 43) I have chronic pain. I need to remember that I can't just pick up where I was in my 20's! LOL!.

A PT eval is a good idea. It has been years since I had one. The good news is I am getting out of the house a lot more. I can walk around stores without thinking about it and I don't break a sweat. That's a big achievement. I think the problem withe DVD was that it was very fast paced.

Maybe I'll just keep trying to get out to stores and such a move for a while. Anything is better than nothing, right?.

And Nancy remember when you were a fatty, well you didn't even do anything! LOL. So technically you're infinately further or is it farther along than you give yourself credit..
