Wow I'm amazed that you were able to get pregnant so soon after.

Surgery.

My hormones and stuff were whacked out right after.

Surgery.

You definitely need to contact your team ASAP cause they would be the ones to specifically know about what you can do. you will probly need to be in close contact with a dietician thru all this also. Because of your size the baby will probly zap your nutrients before you get any. I think it will be you they'll have to watch for deficiencies. I only gained 11 lbs with my daughter and she weighed 8lbs, 8 oz so don't worry about gaining but I'm more worried about incisional issues. Did you have an open or lap RNY? Please keep us posted on this.

I will definitely be keeping you in my prayers..

I'm amazed you let your husband near you so soon after.

.... I was still in a lot of pain at that point...but hey, we are all different...and you are many years younger than I am..

Having said that, I would definitely contact the doctor right away and they will help you through this. One thing I've learned, there are ways , medically, to deal with many "complications", even if not the ideal..

Someone else on here posted a while ago that she was pregnant. When she updated, she stated that she would be ok, but had to go to a high rish ob/gyn..

And of course had to work with a nut, because she had to eat a bit more for her and baby..

Please, consult *everyone* on your team (GBS, primary care, ob/gyn) immediately. Do not delay. Make sure all are informed by the end of the day today. This falls under "urgent medical issue". Everyone here will provide support and caring, but task number one is to seek immediate and thorough professional medical advice..

I have no idea what your options are or the relative risks involved - that is something you can only get from professionals. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you - but it is important to not spend a lot of time beating yourself up. Rather, figure out the best course of action from here is...

And it's not a mistake really.

I dunno bout others but I loved being pregnant that was the best thing in the world to me..

I am very happy for you news about having a baby, but I understand your fears. Talk to both sets of Dr's try to put the worry out of your mind until both medical teams have talked with you about what to expect..

This isn't the end of weight loss, but your Dr will have to explain what to expect and how to move forward...

I contacted my gbs team and they said pretty much everything I already knew. That I need to get an ob/gyn asap because it is an extremely high risk pregnancy and need to be monitored closely and most likely by a specialist. They said that the baby will probably be low birth weight and suck up all the little nutrients I get anyways considering there is nothing I can do about the rapid weight loss. That my body doenst really care if it's pregnant it will continue to lose the weight and it's out of my control..

I feel rather helpless honestly. My appointment for the ob/gyn is on the 15th of March so we shall see...

Congratulations on the expectation of your first baby! Don't be scared, and don't worry so much, you still have a fat reserve to nourish the baby. And worry is not good for the baby. Yes, you're high-risk, but so are a lot of people. Just do everything the doctors tell you. And if nutrition is a major problem, they can always give you shots, etc. In this day and age, there is no reason why you should not have a healthy baby.

You may need to get someone who's a little more on the ball. Just be sure you get your.

Folic acid.

To prevent spina-bifida which can occur in the first month of gestation. But if you're taking the bariatric vitamins already, this should not be a concern either. You'll be showing us baby pictures before you know it. Keep us posted, as I'm sure there are others that may benefit from your journey..

My prayers are with you. God bless...
