First off, THE_____Medifast menu ITEM ON START Medifast menu SHOWS ALL PROGRAMS INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: I feel kind of like I'm stumbling around trying to get into a good rhythm of eating, taking my vitamins and exercising. I've never really had any of good habits in these areas to begin with so I'm really getting frustrated trying things out only to find that it really doesn't work (i.e taking 650mg of.

Iron.

Supplements in the morning which made me more constipated than I've ever been in my life)..

I was just wondering if any of you more experienced post-opers have any good habits they developed, helpful tips or want to share a routine that works well for you. I just need some ideas. Also, what multi-vitamin and.

Calcium.

Supplements do you take? Right now I am on Flintstones and Viactive, which I'm not really happy with. My biggest issue is in the morning I have no desire to put anything in my mouth or stomach until at least 10 am, sometimes until noon. I try really hard to at least drink something before then but I can't tolerate much in the mornings..

Thanks for.

Reading.

And replying!.

Hi Heather,.

I had.

Surgery.

10/26/09, but can say the routine gets easier over time. I use Celebrate multivitimin chewable -2 in the morning and 2 before bed, bariatric advantage chocolate.

Calcium.

Citrate chews(am, lunch and dinner), soloray B complex before bed and b12 from Costco 1-2 week. I always take them before I eat, because sometimes I just can't fit them in after I eat. Just think of it as fuel to live. Its such a different world isn't it? Never would have believed I'd be struggling to get enough intake in!!..

Routines are very important to me. I take my vitamins very regularly. I use Bariatric Advantage chewable multi vitamins and chewable.

Calcium.

2X's a day, and B12 twice a week. I buy these online from.

BariaticChoice.com..

I have had trouble with constipation and use stool softeners as well as chewable fiber tables. Recently someone on this site recommended probiotic capsules and they seem to really help also. In addition to vitamins I.

Exercise.

At least 4times a week and am very carefull what I eat. I find that I need to stick to certain foods that agree with me or I have problems..

Good luck...

Routine is a must for.

Exercise.

Mostly. For me I take my daughter to.

School.

At 7;30 and as soon as i'm home i'm on the treadmill and then I do weights. The weekends I do it when I can but thru the week I can pretty much stay on it. Get what you can in the mornings but try every day to get a little more cause breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. It jumpstarts your metabolism for the day. I used prenatal vitams for the last 3 years once a day but I know right now that is probly hard for you to swallow and I use Walmart Citrate.

Calcium.

But that also is too big for you right now. I was told the viactiv wasn't the right type of.

Calcium.

For us so check that. B12 sublingual every day for energy and helps your metabolis and if you have hair or nail issues take some biotin to help with that. If you can stomach a protein drink in the morning i'd say do at least that. Did you ask about the Slimfast high protein drink? Let me know...

Sheila mentioned that the.

Calcium.

Citrate pills are too large for you now. When I first started out, I crushed them. Now that I am 4 months out, I break them in half..

As for my routine, I take my sublingual B-12 and B complex before breakfast. At lunch it is the.

Calcium.

For dinner, 2 chewable multi-vitamins. Then about 1 hour before bedtime, I take another.

Calcium.

This was suggested by my nutritionist..

And I am still working on the.

Exercise.

Business. Making progress by parking in the furthest parking spot at work and once I am there I take the scenic route...

I have to crush everything for 3 months. So now I get up and eat meal P-1 which consists of all a.m. pills mixed with yougurt or pudding or occasionally protein shake (whatever helps get 'em down) then I go into my 30 minutes of no drinking, then my 8 ounces of water, and then 30 minutes of no drinking, then breakfast (by which time I can eat) My last meal of the night, P-2 looks just like ole P-1 in the morning. I'm on a lot of drugs for the "cormorbidities" and they all taste really bad ground up and don't stay in suspension very well, so adding them to thicker stuff with strong flavor helps. A new use for dark chocolat mousse!.

Wow Lin, I'm really impressed with how well you stick to the 30 minute no drinking thing. I don't have that discipline yet.....

I take my.

Iron.

, B and BP meds first thing with my.

Coffee.

, I can't do anything without my.

Coffee.

So I always get thoses in. As for the other 2 I take them to work and put them on my desk, that way I see them and will take them at some point during the day..
