First question I got is What is the instrumental Medifast menu song for Rock Band 3? Many thanks for any answer or 2. My other question... I just wanted to say thank you all for making me feel welcome and offering suggestions to help me get past this hurdle. It feels so good to be part of a support group again. I am a co-moderator for one on Yahoo but most the members are all 2-3 yrs post op like me and just kind of stopped participating and I miss it so much. I enjoy helping people with my experiences but also.

From all of you. I'm so addicted to ya'll already. I spent all afternoon on here just.

Reading.

Everything and am looking forward to getting to know you all. A little background info: I'm 45 and 3 yrs post op. A little over a year ago I had a panniculectomy to remove my apron and although I had complications, as I always do, it completed the process for me and made feel whole again. If anyone is contemplating that type.

Be persistent with your insurance. It can be deemed medically necessary and not cosmetic as long as you approach in the right way and have the info and pics to back it up. Keep trying. Its worth it..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments and the welcome. Will try to answer some questions. Wish was able to reply to specific ones individually but here goes..

As far as plastic.

Surgery.

Goes I have only had the panniculectomy/mons lift (Joanne the mons lift is a seperate procedure but is usually done when you have a large apron) and I cannot stress enough to document any and all issues you've had because of the skin folds or hanging skin, etc. I know this sounds yucky but measure how long your apron hangs down and if the mons area is a problem measure that also. Get letters from doctors documenting anything they have prescribed to treat those issues and also having them say they feel it is a medically necessary.

Surgery.

For both physical and mental reasons. Don't give up. If they turn you down appeal it. I was very fortunate to have it approved in a weeks time which still shocks me. I have Tricare Prime insurance. If you have that as a primary or as a secondary it will likely be approved with good documentation.

I had complications with my.

Surgery.

Because I am at high risk for blood clots and I'm not sure I should discuss that as I don't want to deter anyone from pursuing it. Mine was a rare case and most will not have the problem I did. My surgeon said I was her first to have the issue I did. If you want to know about it just let me know. I had some minor surgeries related to the panniculectomy because it turned out I was allergic to the sutures they used and after 5 mos they were coming to the surface and causing issues. She did some minor procedures and we got them out and I'm fine.

Joanne if you have more questions about the lower area just let me know. I"m happy to help. I'm sure there is lots more I could tell so if you have more questions please ask here or message me. So happy I found you guys ;).
