I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..
Thanks. I just wish the weight would melt off like it does for others. My dietician gave me a goal weight for 1 year out of 160, because it's not coming off as fast as I thought it would, I am beginning to think I'll never meet that goal :( Just frustrated, I guess. Thanks for the encouraging words. I am going to try not to step on a scale everyday, maybe then when I see a loss it will seem like more of a success...
You are doing great! I'm only a few days less than you (Jan4), I'm wondering if you are getting enough protien every day? I know it's hard but I am eating more than you, I think. I have greek yogurt with some pureed fruit, some milk for breakfast - A protien shake for lunch,(EAS whey protien) mixed up with Skim milk, and trying chicken, turkey, eggs cottage cheese etc. and maybe a S/F Carnation mix before bed. Trying to get at leat 60 grams a day of protien. and yes inbetween drinking waters. You might want to check with the Nuetrition guidelines again on portions...
I think your weight loss journey is going very well!.
You are MUCH more active than I am capable of doing so far and I'm told that I'm "ahead" of schedule for recovery..
Be proud of what you've accomplished and keep up the good work and the results will soon be there..
Also, make sure to take your measurements, that can change before the scales do..
The day of the.
, actually that evening, I began.
I didn't just walk around the nurses station, I walked the entire length of a very long corridor, several times. I stopped intermittently because of gas pains, but the nurses and surgeon said that I was doing great! I'll check my pamphlet from the dietician and see if I am missing something. I may go back on the unjury for one of my meals. It just seems like the weight comes off faster for others. I'm hoping because of the gym activity that it will push the weight loss along. Thanks for the kind words, folks..
Three weeks seems to be where everyone hits a "wall" ... don't panic. You just had major.
And your body is in shock. Give it a few weeksit will start working wonders!!! :) Congrats on your progress so far!!!.
Maybe you arent getting enough? Mix things up a bit. Everyone is right, everyone reaches a wall but it will come off dont lose.
Come on!! When, in your whole life, have you dropped 15 pounds in less than a month?? You are going to hit plateaus, especially right after.
Your body is in shock from the lack of Medifast food and is storing some, because it thinks it's starving. I promise that at the end of this plateau, you will go down to the next plateau. This is very normal. Just keep doing what you are doing and you'll do great. The honeymoon period lasts about a year. Relish in it.
Almost 4 years ago. The rest in about a year post-op. Everyone loses weight differently. Don't weigh yourself every time you pass the scales!!!! You will drive yourself crazy!!! Once a week is plenty! Don't dwell on losing weight. Your body will do it for you. Like I said before...keep doing what you are doing and you'll lose it at your own pace.
Thanks for the kind words, I am going to.
From scales for a week at a time and just continue with the.
And perhaps go back on Unjury protein drinks once per day, just in case I'm not getting enough protein/calories. I think I'm doing everything right. As far as Medifast diet goes, it's very difficult to get in 40-70 grams of protein per day. I am excited about having turkey meatball(s) for dinner tonight. Hopefully, those go down easier then chicken...Peace to all...
I think you need more protein too. Try that and see what happens. Don't worry about it though!! Don't listen to the scale. Do you feel better? Clothes fit better? The weight will come off. You'll see!..
I had my.
On 12/29, released from the hospital on 12/31. On the day of.
I weighed 271. Today, I weigh 256. I am a little discouraged with the results. I go to the gym on M, W and Friday every week for one hour. I spend 1/2 hour on the treadmill and another 30 minutes spinning. I truly thought the weight would come off more quickly.
Glass of skim milk that I sip until time to.
For work. For lunch, I have a slice of turkey with piece of cheese and 1/2 hr. after that I have some water. I have pretty much the same thing for dinner and maybe a popsicle after my 1 hour work out. Am I doing something wrong? I am a little bit discouraged, but far from giving up. Does anybody have some encouraging words or advice?..
I just ordered more of the Unjury protein powder, which isn't that bad, belive it or not. My clothes are too big right now because when I started the program I weighed 292 and dropped to 271 up to the day of.
And I'm about 256 today. I feel great absent a little fatigue in the afternoon. When I feel really weak, I have a teaspoon of Simply Jiff and that does the trick until dinner. Hoping to see the results soon!! I do, however, really enjoy one hour of "me" time 3x per week!! It's not exactly spa treatment, but it feels good to work out. Anxious to work on my "flabs" a/k/a abs and arms. Need Dr. to allow me to lift in excess of 10 pounds :)..
I weighed @100 pounds more than you did when I started, and my final goal is the same for 1 year out. It is unreasonable to be expected to lose faster at a lower starting weight. It also sounds like you are in better physical condition than most when they have.
, and as we all know muscle weighs more than fat. I agree with those who say you may not be getting enough nutrition for your activity level. The MINIMUM daily protien intake for a woman is 60g. Too little protien and too few calories and carbs will stop weight loss in it's tracks b/c your body thinks it is starving to death. Women are the babymakers, so we are more prone to this. I like the idea you are going to recheck your post-op nutrition instructions - always good to be sure...
I am going to have a scrambled egg for lunch today, for the added protein and bring a yogurt back to the office for an afternoon snack. I also depend on Simply Jiff for a pick-me-up. You guys are the best. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the advice and support you give. Thanks for the kind words. Despite having the.
, it's still a life long battle. Hugs to all...
I'm not clear as to the time frame for your 38 lb weight loss, but I'll bet with your current workout routine you described that you've packed on some muscle which you're not accounting..
Just keep doing exactly what you've been doing and you'll soon be a skinny chick with incredible wind..
